At On Top Roofing & Building Ltd, we recognise the pivotal role that fascia’s play within the structure and functionality of your roof. These essential components are firmly affixed to the roof’s juncture with the exterior walls of your property. Running along the lower edge of the roof overhang, these elongated, straight boards provide indispensable support and protection.
Our skilled team ensures the meticulous attachment of fascia boards to the roof trusses. This strategic placement effectively supports the lower row of tiles, establishing a secure foundation for the entire roofing system.
Furthermore, the fascia serves a critical function by accommodating the majority of the guttering, thus facilitating proper drainage and safeguarding your property against potential water damage.
Soffits play an indispensable role within the modern roofline system, offering essential protection and ventilation for the underside of the roof edge. These components effectively encase the lower side of the roof, preventing the accumulation of moisture and reducing the risk of damage.
Our UPVC soffits present an excellent solution, negating the need for costly maintenance. Their robust construction allows for effortless cleaning with just basic soapy water ensuring a fresh and dirt free appearance. This low maintenance attribute saves you time and money, providing a convenient solution for your roofline requirements.
At On Top Roofing & Building Ltd, we understand the significance of well-designed and functional soffits and fascia boards in preserving a healthy and properly ventilated roof. You can trust our expertise in installing top-quality UPVC fascia and soffits that not only enhance your property’s visual appeal but also bolster its long-term durability. While the modern materials used for fascia boards and soffits are virtually maintenance-free, we recommend cleaning your entire eaves trough system twice a year to prevent the harmful buildup of dirt, leaves and/or debris. As clogged gutters can lead to water leaks, moisture damage and mould, we recommend a professional roof inspection twice a year to ensure that your roofing system is always performing as it should.

There are several reasons you may need to replace them, from age and deterioration to an update in style or to upgrade them to more energy efficient solutions. You may need to replace them if you notice any of these signs:
✅ Visible cracks or damage
✅ Water damage or leaks
✅ Peeling paint
✅ Discolouration
✅ Evidence of pests or small animals
✅ Roof has insufficient ventilation
While you can clean your soffits and fascia boards using a pressure washer, it is probably best left to professionals like On Top Roofing & Building Ltd.
